These unique partnerships are a natural extension of our long history of serving healthy and savory food options to the community. HELP also partners with The City of Lakewood to operate their café, The Bistro by HELP Harvest, which opened in November 2022, in Cove Community Center at 12525 Lake Avenue, Lakewood. HELP Harvest cafés are proud to partner with the Cleveland Foundation to operate Susanna’s Café by HELP Harvest – now open to the public – in their new headquarters, located at 6601 Euclid Avenue in MidTown, Cleveland. Please schedule a time to visit us: 18228 Sloane Avenue, Lakewood HELP creates a vocational experience, with the benefit of skilled staff on hand to support and guide them towards success. Training covers the entire range of expected duties in a commercial kitchen, including but not limited to: cleaning dishes and equipment, portioning and prepping ingredients, shopping for and cooking recipes, packaging and labeling finished products. Our remodeled commercial kitchen serves as a hands-on training kitchen, which produces all varieties of food choices and focuses on healthy options. HELP Harvest Kitchen, located in Lakewood, serves as a training facility to prepare, package, and label produce grown at HELP Harvest Greenhouse. Please schedule a time to visit us: 22701 Shore Center Drive, Euclid Produce grown at the HELP Harvest Greenhouse is harvested to create healthy meals and snacks at the HELP Harvest Kitchen that is then packaged, labeled, and sold at the HELP Harvest cafés. Please note that charitable receipts can only be made out to the name on the cheque.HELP Harvest Greenhouse, located in Euclid, opened in May 2022 and features over 4,000 square feet of hydroponic greenhouse space and classroom space, where individuals learn skills that are critical to navigating employment. When you are making a donation, you will able to choose the NEHM as one of the donating options. You can drop off a cheque at the NEHM at 140 Waverly Drive, Portable 6Ĥ. You can mail a cheque to our office at 42 Carden Street, Guelph, ON N1H 3A2ģ. That way we can thank you in person and get a picture of you and the giant cheque!Ģ. The GNSC is a registered charity so we can offer a charitable receipt for your donation. If you like, we will bring our awesome giant cheque to you and snap a picture with you and your wonderful donation. You will be recognized on our website, social media, and on-site at the market. The Market is open on Wednesday nights from 4:30 to 6:00 pm at the small parking lot beside Waverley Drive School at 140 Waverley Drive. It has become a place for people to feel safe, to laugh and enjoy each others company in a non-judgmental, supporting, and diverse environment. It is a place for advocacy, friendship, support, and connections to community resources. The Market is a FREE fresh produce market for those struggling to put food on their plates, but it’s more than just food distribution. The NEHM has been running since July 2014 through donations, personal gifts, and some small community grants. Did you know that 13.2% of people in Guelph suffer from food insecurity?
